Participant information given on entry forms (including, but not limited to: car number, car make, car model, and car class) may be used on the MSSCCA.ORG website as it pertains to event results and points standings. Participant data collected during the event (including, but not limited to: times and penalties) may also be used on the MSSCCA.ORG website. If the participant wishes not to be identified on the website, a request can be made to the webmaster to remove some or all information pertaining to that participant (including, but not limited to: first name, last name, car make, and/or car model).
A robots.txt file is used on the MSSCCA.ORG website (located at http://www.msscca.org/robots.txt, last modified 01-20-03) to disallow search engine indexing of pages located in the /results/ and /points/ folders. Additional results and points pages may include meta tags in the source code that also disallow search engines from indexing pages. Not all search engines may follow the robots.txt and meta tag instructions; however, the syntax follows the current web standard.
Email list (ms-scca@lists.netdoor.com):
The ms-scca@lists.netdoor.com subscribers list can only be seen by email list administrators, and will not be sold or given out for any reason. Subscribers cannot see the subscriber list in order to keep possible spammers from subscribing, copying the list, and unsubscribing. Subscribers may change their personal settings to hide their email addresses from the subscriber list if the subscribers wish to conceal their addresses from list administrators.
Only subscribers may post to the list. Email sent to the list by non-subscribers, will be held for approval. Email larger than 60kb will also be held for approval. When a subscriber posts to the list, the other subscribers will see the email address of the subscriber.
Contact Page:
Email addresses listed on the Contact Page use the %40 designation for the "@" sign in the source code. This helps keep email addresses from getting picked up by spammers, but is not 100% effective.
